No spring here

Good morning! It is March 7 and IT JUST KEEPS SNOWING.  The weather is saying we are getting MORE snow today and tonight, but then should warm up this weekend and are supposed to be in the mid-40's (heat wave!!) so I am looking VERY forward to getting my weekend miles run outside.

But I thought it would be fun to get out this morning and get a couple of pictures to show you just how much snow I am talking about. :) (you can click on these to see them bigger)
Good morning from Wyoming!
These are me post-run, pre-shower. Not "pretty" yet for the day! :)
This is me in front of our house this morning. Yes, that snow is almost up to my shoulders!!!
In most of the yard, the snow is deeper than the dogs, and a couple of the kids. Poor Shorty!
I went out to the mailbox to snap a few pics. The mountains are beautiful as always (and I can't wait to be able to run up my canyon again soon). The roads however SUCK for running.

Still at the mailbox, here is a pic looking down my road the other way.
I do love the snow, but I am so ready for spring to get here (realistically though, I have a while!) How is the weather where you are? Is it spring yet?

We really have been spoiled with a pretty mild winter. This week should be in the 50s here on Cape and 60s in Boston!! You'll be able to thaw out when you come to Boston!! Seriously though what a beautiful place to live!!!

We live near Boulder, CO and yesterday it was a high of 73 degrees!! I got a ton of yard work done, admired my tulips that are peeking out of the ground and generally got spring fever. This morning, I ran 5 miles in freezing drizzle and was covered in a layer of ice by the time I was finished. Forecasted high of 35 and snow. That's spring; you never know what you're going to get.

OH MY GOODNESS IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am jealous of all that snow. The first time I ever saw snow was last April when I was in SLC for work. Gorgeous! It is a sunny 63 degrees here but it will be in the triple digits soon enough.

It's beautiful. It truly is. But it was 70 here yesterday. It's an insane winter (not spring yet!) It will probably snow in a few weeks!

It's a pretty warm day here and fairly sunny but I am in Alabama so if we had snow it would be on national news.

It's finally in the 60s today in Michigan but snow/cold returns tomorrow for the weekend. Today, though, it s fabulous day for a run. Hope it warms up for you soon!

I Spent time in La Barge, WY. It is so cold!! You are very dedicated if you are a runner from WY (cold or treadmill)! But the mountains are quite pretty.

This is my first AZ winter. I'm amazed I can run in tank tops all season. I don't know if I'll move back to snow tho!

I'm in Michigan and today its a springy 63* and we've had the oddest winter! More days of 40*+ than actual snow and we usually get decent amounts of snow.

HI Erin,

Long time lurker here, first time I've commented though. Just wanted to say how much I love your blog, and I think your story is inspiring. Whenever I try to give myself an excuse for not going for my run, I think, "Erin has 12 kids and runs 7 days a week - no excuses!"!

Anyway, those pictures are truly beautiful. I live in Australia (Sydney) so I've only see snow once in my life (in New Zealand) and I think it looks magical! We have just had one of our wettest summers ever on record, constant rain and 25-26deg Celcius (about 77-79deg Farenheit?). It's muggy and horrible and everything is just wet. We are having major flooding across the state and for the first time that I can ever remember, our dam is overflowing (causing more floods!). I don't mind running in the rain, but this has been a bit ridiculous! Can't wait for cool, crisp Autumn - hopefully it is cool and crisp and dry!

Well, thanks for writing, I hope you keep it up because you truly are an inspiration and you have a lovely writing style too :) I check your blog first thing every morning when I wake up, hoping for a new post!

Good luck with your goals - looking forward to hearing about your journey to reaching them :)

Snow looks like fun to be out in. (OK it's summer here and will be 30+ again till the weekend, and a few days of snow might be fun. maybe I need a skiing holiday, maybe I need to win the LOTTO...

Wowza! That's a lot of snow. We usually get snow here in VT, but this winter has been so mild. We've had like 2 real snowstorms and it's amounted to nothing.

It's gorgeous, but brrrr! I don't think winter ever came here, it's definitely spring-ing here with a few trees and flowers starting to grow/bloom.

I am so over the snow right now and we don't have any compared to you and it should be all melted off after this weekend. I just want it to be spring :)
