New PR!

I did it! It rained. It poured. It hailed. It thundered. We saw lightning. It rained harder. It hailed some more. My teeth chattered while I ran at times. My feet literally were splashing and sloshing IN my shoes.

And yet, I felt awesome. My stomach was great (two super fast pit stops, only lost 2 minutes). I will share what I did differently with my nutrition in my race recap post coming soon.

I ran tough. I ran hard. I ran fast. I never gave up.

I finished in 3:28:15

6th in my age group of 154 (top 3%)

27th out of all 896 female runners (top 3%)

187th out of all 1884 runners (top 9%)

Yeah baby.

Alana and Terzah did awesome. It was a super fun trip.

Lots of details coming soon. Now I need some sleep. :)

That's awesome! Good job. I'm interested in your nutrition changes, I always had digestion issues with the longer runs.

The weather was CRAZY intense wasn't it?!?! I worried a lot for you runners with all that lightening. My dear running friends father (who cam in at 5:20- it was his first marathon!) had to stop and have us get him new socks and shoes because of the sloshing and sliding! IT WAS CRAZY!
You rocked it! I knew you would! I am so sorry I didn't get a chance to see you cross the finish line it would have been awesome!! Well done you!!!!! :)

I saw your post on my blog about Mayor Clayton. Wow that is super cool!! It's a small world. There is a good chance I saw your children. Mayor and I were close friends every Sunday night for 3 years. We were at the Candy Land party and I tucked the kids into bed. I used to jump on the beds and fall asleep in their beds. I always had a laugh when the kids tickled Mayor awake. Here is a picture of when Mayor Clayton and I were "close friends" http://halftriing.blogspot.com/2010/11/team-hoyt.html
