1. I sat hear this morning reading running blogs as I ate my breakfast, and the theme right now for most people seems to be that it is HOT where they live. High temps, high humidity, HOT HOT HOT. As I type this, it is SNOWING out my window. On June 9. Yeah. Gotta love living in the mountains! It was actually beautiful, sunny, cool and perfect for my 8 mile run this morning with Jenny, but within a few minutes of being home the sky turned dark and it started to rain, and now it is definitely snow.
It is supposed to be back in the 60's tomorrow and sunny, but good grief!
2. Josh's marathon is in two days! He is actually feeling excited now which makes me excited. I really want this to be a fun and good experience for him. I so love this stuff... I love the expos, getting your packet, the excitement, the anticipation, the planning, the chatting with everyone race morning, the race itself, the huge sense of accomplishment afterwards, being around lots of other runners, looking forward to the next challenge... LOVE IT.
Josh and I went on a quick three mile run together yesterday afternoon and it was fun and he seemed to be feeling good. We get to go and stay the night in a hotel together for this race too! We will be gone less than 24 hours, but it is still the first time we have both left Noah at the same time. I thought I would be really nervous about it but I know he will be great and I am VERY excited for some time alone with Josh.
3. I have a really great giveaway coming up tomorrow. And I have to say that I just really, really love the running community, both online and in "real life". I have met so many other runners who are just so supportive and friendly and really "get" what it means to be a runner. I am so grateful for the friends and connections I have made and I love how supportive, encouraging and fun runners and the running community are. Thanks to all of you who take the time to read and comment here!
More soon! Happy Thursday. ;)
