Seriously????

(yeah, I love Grey's Anatomy and I say "Seriously?" all the time).

But really. Seriously????

Have you heard about THIS GUY??? He calls himself "McRunner" and he is training for a marathon by eating nothing but McDonalds for 30 days. AND he is attempting to run a sub 2:36 at the L.A. Marathon on March 20.



Seriously?

Obviously he is a good runner, but I can't imagine what eating only McDonald's would do to the body during marathon training... even to the svelt and the fast. Me thinks it is quite a bit off from ideal fueling.

McRunner is raising money for a good cause... he is donating up to $2,500 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities ($1 for every like on Facebook here).

I am definitely intrigued by this story and am interested to see how he does (I imagine he'll be fine). Quite the publicity stunt for sure.

 I could stick to the oatmeal and yogurt and fruit for breakfast but I would be struggling for lunch and dinner. I love my McDonalds fries as much as anyone but since I have lost 70lbs and have been eating better, I find when I eat stuff like that the grease and stuff make me feel like garbage.

Sheesh... I think I have stomach issues NOW... I can't imagine what 30 days of McDonalds would do to me!!!

What do you think? Could you get away with eating nothing by McD's for 30 days of marathon training? Have you heard of McRunner??? Happy Friday! I am enjoying my day off and then I have 30 miles planned for the weekend. :)

I have not heard of McRunner!!! That is crazy... Pretty sure I couldn't do it either. Even if I planned on eating the salads and chicken sands without the sauce and bun I couldn't stop myself from eating the fries... :)

And I say 'seriously' all the time too... ;)

I think it's horrible to even suggest that eating at McD's is healthy in any sort of way, much less for a marathon runner. Publicity stint for sure that I refuse to follow.

blah. McDonalds is the biggest "need" of all beef in the US. Just watch Food Inc and you'll be disgusted with McDonalds if you weren't already!

Ewww!! I watched "Supersize Me" and the results were a disaster! Sub 2:36 on golden arches only?!!!

YOu have been to Africa 3 times???? wow!!!

I think it is GREAT that he is raising that money for the Ronald McDonald House; he's not going to be doing it forever (eating at McDonalds, I mean.) It may not be the best, but you can eat bagels, orange juice, eggs, yogurt, fruit, grilled chicken, oatmeal, pancakes, tortillas, salsa, english muffins... just sayin' that if I had to eat there, I could... without eating the "beef"(hamburgers) or "chicken" (McNuggets) Smile :)

Click on that link (for McRunner) and then click on his "Food Diary." It's not so bad. Take the time to look up Michael Phelps' diet while he was training for the Olympics. I know I was surprised by all that he ate.

hell yea!! they have side salads with no dressing or gilled snack wrap with no dressing, or chicken mcnuggets..might get boring but its about choices...

Yeah, I heard about that guy, but had no idea he was so fast. I, for one, would not want to project the idea that McDonald's is okay. So, while I applaud the charity aspect, I'm not a fan of this stunt. That being said, people do have a choice.
